Results of the College and Faculty Elections 2019

The RCR is delighted to announce that Dr Jeanette Dickson has been elected to succeed Dr Nicola Strickland as RCR President. Dr Dickson will take up office on 1 September 2019 and will serve for three years. Dr Dickson is a clinical oncologist at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and has served as the current Vice-President, Clinical Oncology since 2016.
 
The RCR also welcomes Dr Hannah Tharmalingam and Dr Stephen Harden to the 2019–22 Officer team from 1 September 2019. Dr Tharmalingam will succeed Dr Dickson as Vice-President, Clinical Oncology, and Dr Harden has been elected as our next Medical Director, Education and Training, Clinical Radiology, taking over from Dr William Ramsden.

The RCR is grateful to every Fellow who stood in the elections and offered their time and expertise to the College. Congratulations to the successful candidates and thank you to all those who voted. We are pleased to have maintained an overall turnout of approximately 32%, in line with the trend of recent years. We look forward to welcoming those elected when they take up office in September.
 
There is one remaining vacancy for a Clinical Oncology Faculty Board member. This vacancy for UK clinical oncology Fellows in good standing will open for nominations on Monday 1 April 2019 and close at 12 noon on 23 April 2019.
