Purpose of assessment
The Final FRCR (Part B) assessment examines candidates on all aspects of clinical radiology against the Specialty Training Curriculum for Clinical Radiology. The Final FRCR Exam Purpose of assessment statement details the examination's purpose, the required level of candidate training and the application of results. It is hoped that the statement will assist candidates, and those involved in their training, in understanding the scope of the FRCR exam and with relating the examination to other in-training assessments. The Final FRCR (Part B) exam consists of two reporting components and an oral component.
Clinical radiology curriculum
The clinical radiology curriculum aims to meet patient and service need by ensuring that trainees develop the specialty-specific capabilities necessary to become a consultant radiologist.

The Final FRCR Exam Purpose of assessment statement details the examination's purpose, the required level of candidate training and the application of results.
Exam format
All components (Oral component and two reporting components) are to be taken at the same sitting. All are computer-based and delivered on the risr/Assess delivery platform and at the venue candidates have chosen. Candidates will receive a username and password to access the exam. Candidates will be able to access functionality to manipulate images.
The instructional videos and accompanying demonstration site should be viewed prior to the exam.
