RCR supports guidelines on management of patients with possible COVID-19 vaccine induced thrombosis and thrombocytopenia

Thursday 15 April 2021

The Royal College of Radiologists supports the guidelines on the management of patients presenting to emergency departments with possible COVID-19 vaccine induced thrombosis and thrombocytopenia (PDF). The guidelines have been issued under the auspices of The Royal College of Emergency Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and The Society for Acute Medicine.

Guidance regarding neuroimaging included in the document was provided by The British Society of Neuroradiologists and we are most grateful for their input. The guidelines outline a practical pathway for the assessment and investigation of such patients, and the College is pleased to commend them to its Fellows and members.
