Get the research bug this International Clinical Trials Day

Thursday 18 May 2017

Have you considered a career in research, or pursuing a project of special academic interest?

RCR members from both faculties are active across a wide range of UK and international research projects, and the College funds rolling research grants to encourage more clinicians into research.

For International Clinical Trials Day 2017 (20 May), we are celebrating the hard work of members who are involved in a huge variety of both pure and applied research, and are urging members to find out more and consider making their own foray into academic investigation.

You can visit our academic pages to find out more about how the College promotes and supports clinical oncology research and clinical radiology research.

These pages host information about research degrees, training and funding – including RCR research grants – and you can discover more about life as an academic from active researchers.

Hear from radiology researchers including Kings College London’s clinical cancer imaging lead Prof Vicky Goh about the highlights of her job, or oncologists such as Dr Ananya Choudhury, from The Christie NHS Foundation, on the variety of life working as both a clinical oncologist and multidisciplinary researcher.

You can also find more about the RCR’s research grants and how to apply, or take a look to see what research is taking place around the UK.

And please get involved in helping us to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day 2017 on social media, too! You can follow the College via @RCRadiologists and share your research stories with the hashtag #ClinicalTrialsDay and #ICTD2017.
