Membership Survey 2025

Our biennial College membership survey provides us with essential insights from you, our Fellows and members, to ensure that we are delivering what you need. Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond, your thoughtful and constructive feedback is already shaping how we aim to support you in the coming year.

74% are proud to be part of the RCR

Over two thirds of Fellows and members are proud to be part of the RCR and feel that the profession is stronger through the work that we do. 56% expressed an interest in becoming more involved in College activities.

We are most highly regarded for:

  • the standards we set for our professions.
  • our clinical publications.
  • our training, events and courses.
  • our online learning platform, RCR Learn.

  • "The RCR provides an appropriately high standard of practice, gives good professional training and support, and represents Radiologists' and Clinical Oncologists' opinions well to Government and media."

Improvements since 2023

You told us that we were much more visible in advocating for the specialties to key decision makers. You shared that we were better at providing support throughout your careers with activities such as mentoring. You also recognised our work in shaping the safe and effective deployment of AI.

Where we can support you better

Overall, satisfaction fell slightly, which is something we take very seriously. We want our Fellows and members to feel supported by us, and the detail provided in the survey is helping us identify areas where we can do more.

You expressed your disappointment in the new CPD Journal following recent changes, and we received feedback that it's not always easy to find what you need on the website. For residents, many of you told us it was a challenge to get exam slots, and some were unsure of what you get for your fees.

Whilst you said we are more visible in our advocacy work, almost half of you feel that we don't understand the priorities of our members.  We also learned that, whilst you want us to lead on the safe and effective deployment of AI, it is vital that we recognise and advocate for the critical roles of radiologists and oncologists.

Many of you said we could connect and engage with you more, and felt there was less of a sense of community than before.
