The RCR works with imaging services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to create three-year earn, learn and return placements, covering a number of special interest opportunities. The location of the placement will depend on the special interest you would like to develop.
We have a rigorous selection and appointment process and where possible, work with local national societies to ensure that candidates are appropriate for the scheme.
As a minimum you will need:
A primary medical qualification which meets the General Medical Council’s requirements for acceptable overseas qualifications.
To hold, or be eligible to apply for registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Please note that applicants to this scheme cannot obtain GMC registration through sponsorship.
To have successfully completed and hold you fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).
