- Publish an analysis of the performance of different groups for each part of FRCR examination, including those with adjustments as a category.
- Increase diversity in the examiner pool and publish annual data on the composition of the examiner group.
- Monitor the impact of the reform of the CR2B exam on pass rates according to EDI characteristics and report annually.
- Review the pass-rates for the reformed CR2B exam for candidates with adjustments to look at their effectiveness.
- Monitor the impact of the reform of the CO2B exam on pass rates according to EDI characteristics and report annually, with first report end of 2025.
- Review the pass-rates for the reformed CO2B exam for candidates with adjustments to look at their effectiveness
- Review ‘Supervisor skills’ and ‘Advanced Educational Supervisor’ courses to deepen content on differential attainment.
- Develop resources for FRCR CO exam prep.
- Routinely review the impact of FRCR exam prep resources for CR on pass rates.
- Publish speaker monitoring for RCR Learning to highlight diversity of speakers.
- Consider diversity when inviting contributions to RCR Learning resources.
- Ensure all new guidance documents have been considered through the lens of diversity.
- Create EDI toolkit for trainers.
- Run quarterly sessions of REAP 2.0 for one year and assess impact (to include one with focus on ND).
- Encourage reverse mentoring to be undertaken by senior Board and Committee chairs within 2 years of appointment.
- Ensure our communications are inclusive and engages all our members.
- Develop segmented communications to ensure members receive information of direct interest to them.
- Ensure a diverse range of committee members are represented in communications about boards and committees.
- EDIC to provide an annual report to Trustee Board on RCR’s progress against its action plan, which will be published on RCR website.
Neurodiversity focus
- Produce written guidance on ND in workplace.
- Provide training for examiners in written exams on best practice with respect to ND candidates.
- Provide training for examiners in oral exams on best practice with respect to ND candidates.
- Carry out an assessment of the question bank with an ND lens to understand the extent of any issues.
- Seek to expand examiner pool with diverse individuals including those with ND.
- Ensure the LMS can be tailored to individual needs for accessibility.
- Review all new e-learning materials from an ND perspective
- Ensure course content reviews contain an ND lens.
- Review website to ensure it retains existing standards of accessibility and meets any new requirements.
- Include features and profiles of ND members in RCR communications.
- Ensure that we respond to consultations and relevant activity on ND doctors.
- Ensure that all procurement takes into account accessibility requirements
- Include information on how to seek adjustments at trainee welcome events
- Include reference to ND in contributors’ recruitment.
- Ensure that all RCR staff are trained in awareness of ND, and ND in NHS.
