Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
LEARN MOREOur EDI workplan for 2025-28
We have worked hard over the last three years, completing and embedding the majority of the actions on our 2022-25 Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plan.
We knew in 2022 that this was just the start of our work, and that there would always be more to do to ensure that all our Fellows and members can engage with the RCR regardless of their individual background or circumstances. This plan is the next stage on the way to a more inclusive College that meets the needs of all its members.
Together, the EDI Committee members and Officers of the College have developed a new plan to take us forward over the next three years, building on what’s been achieved. Actions from the plan will be led by the College Officers and the EDI Committee has responsibility for monitoring progress.
In addition to our ongoing work, we have also decided to have a specific focus on supporting neurodiversity for the next 18 months. Neurodiversity became a significant theme at an EDI meeting in 2024 and is an increasing area of discussion with our members, particularly around training and examinations.
