The Clinical Oncology Exam Preparation (CO Exam Prep) Portfolio Lead is a voluntary leadership role within the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), working collaboratively with the RCR Learning team. Sitting on the Clinical Oncology Learning Leadership Group (CO LLG) alongside several other portfolio leads; the post holder will report to the CO LLG Chair who reports to our Vice Presidents as part of our Strategic Board.
The post holder will manage a team of Course Leads and ensure our CO Exam Preparation courses portfolio is high quality, needs-based and continually improved. They will collaborate with the RCR Learning team and the Course Leads to create a portfolio strategy, periodically review the size and shape of the portfolio, ensure feedback and innovative best practice from each course is shared across the portfolio, ensuring all courses meet the needs of clinical oncology trainees and support their success in RCR examinations. The role is central to the RCR’s mission to support and empower healthcare professionals at every stage of their career.
This role plays a key part in maintaining high educational standards and ensuring that exam preparation materials reflect current best practice, are aligned with the RCR curricula and assessment frameworks, and are engaging, accessible, and evidence-based.
This is a new portfolio with intentions to include relevant CO exam prep courses as determined and with the potential for additional courses to be developed via the RCR Learning new product development process.
Fellow of the College by examination (no minimum period as a Fellow is required), resident in the United Kingdom, hold a current license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC) and be in active clinical practice

Portfolio leads will receive induction and ongoing support from the RCR Learning team, including access to resources and training as needed.
Performance and course quality will be reviewed through delegate feedback, observations, peer review, and post-course evaluation meetings.
Handover to a new portfolio lead will be managed collaboratively to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer.
