Role Overview
The RCR supports clinicians throughout their careers by providing high quality learning that reflects the evolving demands of Clinical Oncology training. Our Exam Preparation portfolio delivers structured, curriculum aligned learning that helps trainees build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed in their RCR examinations and progress through training.
We are now seeking a Clinical Oncology Exam Preparation Portfolio Lead to oversee the development, delivery and strategic direction of this portfolio.
In this role, you will guide Course Leads, ensure educational quality and alignment with assessment standards, and help shape new exam preparation initiatives that respond to trainee needs and the wider training landscape. Your leadership will support oncology trainees across the UK and internationally through high quality, evidence based exam focused education.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be Fellows of the RCR (by examination)
- Hold a current GMC licence and be in active UK clinical practice in Clinical Oncology
- Have a strong understanding of Clinical Oncology training pathways, curricula and exam requirements
- Demonstrate leadership, educational insight or experience in course development or exam focused learning
Time Commitment
The tenure for this role is three years, with an estimated maximum commitment of eight days per year. This includes meeting attendance, course oversight, and review activities.
The role offers flexibility, with work undertaken remotely and full administrative support provided by the Royal College of Radiologists Learning team.
