New Deputy Editors appointed for Clinical Radiology
Dr Abhishek Mahajan and Dr Samir Khwaja have been appointed as new Deputy Editors of our monthly scientific journal, Clinical Radiology.
Clinical Radiology features original research, editorials and review articles on all aspects of diagnostic imaging, with papers on radiological protection, quality assurance, audit in radiology and matters relating to radiological training and education.
Dr Mahajan is a consultant radiologist at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool, with a specialist interest in oncologic imaging, head and neck imaging, and AI.
He completed his MD in Radiology in India, followed by advanced training in oncologic imaging at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He obtained an MRes from King’s College London and the FRCR from The Royal College of Radiologists. Dr Mahajan is also actively involved in academic research, peer review and education, with over 450 publications in high-impact journals.
Dr Khwaja has been a consultant gastrointestinal radiologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge since 2019. He completed radiology training at Addenbrooke's Hospital followed by a fellowship in abdominal imaging at the University of Toronto, University Health Network.
Dr Khwaja has a specialist interest in Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary (HPB) and transplant imaging. He is also a reviewer for multiple international radiology journals.
