LEARN MORE

Honorary Membership is awarded to a non-member who has made notable contributions or who has shown a lasting positive impact to clinical radiology or clinical oncology in the UK, through a direct link with the RCR.

Who can be considered for Honorary Membership:

Any non-member can be nominated.

This may include, among others:

  • Retiring non-medical examiners
  • Lay representatives on RCR boards and committees
  • Representatives of other organisations who supported our specialties through RCR connections

How do I nominate someone?

Any Fellow of the College can make a nomination, but you cannot nominate yourself.

Please provide a short statement about the person you would like to nominate showing the impact of their work and the reasons why they should receive Honorary Membership (up to 500 words) along with their CV.

Only one nomination per candidate will be considered.

Send to: [email protected] by 5pm on Friday 19th September 2025.

We value diversity and would particularly encourage and welcome nominations for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
