Joint Collegiate Council for Oncology
LEARN MOREThe JCCO has been established jointly between the Royal College of Physicians of London (RCPL) and The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as these are the two Colleges containing the major non-surgical specialties involved in managing cancer. However, its membership also includes representatives from the Royal College of Pathologists and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health/Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
The JCCO advises the RCP and the RCR on matters relating to service needs, education, staffing and resources for treatment of cancer, and helps to produce specialist input and co-ordinated responses to consultations and matters relating to cancer treatment, prevention and research. This work includes the provision of expert input to consultations conducted by the Department of Health and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), as well as government bodies and committees such as the National Audit Office and the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cancer. The JCCO is responsible for developing policies on all matters related to the development of cancer care and research, having regard to patients’ interests and views at all times.

Improving cancer care for sexual and gender minorities
Our organisations unreservedly condemn discrimination in all forms. This is true for our members, Fellows and employees, as well as the wider society we serve.
Clinical oncology publications
The RCR produces a range of publications including standards for the delivery of high-quality oncology services, guidance on good practice and workforce reports.
