Dr Abhishek Majajan

We are saddened to hear about the sudden death of Dr Abhishek Majajan, consultant radiologist at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool and a long-standing College contributor.

Dr Majajan was a leading specialist in cancer imaging, head and neck and neuro-oncological imaging, as well as a leader in the field of AI. He was a significant contributor to the College, being a member of the RCR EDI Committee, a 2B examiner and deputy editor of the RCR journal, Clinical Radiology.

Before moving to Liverpool, Dr Majajan worked for more than a decade at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, as a consultant radiologist and Professor of Radiology. He completed a Master’s in Translational Cancer Medicine at King’s College London and held an Honorary Clinical Associate Professorship at the University of Liverpool. Dr Majajan was principal investigator for more than 20 imaging projects and the author of nearly 440 peer-reviewed publications.

He will be greatly missed by everyone at the College. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues facing this devastating loss.
