About the award
The RRDF Trainer Award recognises a UK-based consultant clinical radiologist who has made an outstanding contribution to clinical radiology education and training at a local, regional or national level.
The award gives clinical radiology residents an opportunity to recognise trainers whose commitment to teaching, training and supporting residents has made a meaningful difference to their development.
Who can be nominated?
UK-based consultant clinical radiologists.
Who can nominate?
Clinical radiology resident doctors.
Nominations should explain how the trainer has made a significant contribution to radiology teaching and training. This may include:
Breadth of teaching
Individualised training
Resident wellbeing
Innovation
Time and commitment
Contribution through the RCR
Award cycle
Nominations are submitted and assessed in the award year, with the selected recipient formally recognised the following year.
For example, the 2026 RRDF Trainer Award will be administered during 2026, with the recipient formally recognised in 2027.
