Every year the College offers a number of bursaries, prizes, and awards to undergraduate medical students, trainees, and consultants.
Elective bursaries
Closes: 19 February 2021
Every year the College offers ten elective bursaries for medical students. These are intended to support undergraduates carrying out an elective period of study in either clinical oncology or clinical radiology in the UK or abroad. For details and how to apply, visit the relevant page linked below:

Research and essay prizes
Closes: 19 February 2021
There are two research prizes and two essay prizes available for medical students every year. The research prizes are for students who conduct personal research on clinical oncology or clinical radiology topic. The essay prizes are given for essays written either on a topic relevant to clinical oncology or clinical radiology or describing a personal experience of working in a department of clinical oncology or clinical radiology during an elective period or vacation. Undergraduate Radiology/Oncology Society of the Year
Closes: 19 February 2021
There are two prizes of £200 each available, one for undergraduate radiology societies and one for undergraduate oncology societies. The prizes are intended to reward Undergraduate Radiology and Oncology Societies that have been active during the preceding year. Particular emphasis will be given to societies that have a plan for sustainability and those who have been innovative in their activities. Undergraduate Education Innovation and Excellence Awards

There are two prizes of £250 each available for UK medical students, foundation doctors, trainees, or consultants who have developed and implemented innovative projects in the field of undergraduate education. Projects could include activities related to undergraduate societies, innovative teaching and learning methods aimed at undergraduates, or any other activity related to the education of undergraduates in radiology or oncology. Applicants are encouraged to be innovative in their projects and projects that have potential national applications will be particularly highly evaluated.
