A Guide to Understanding the Implications of the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations in Radiotherapy
The aim of the working party was to help employers and clinical colleagues understand and implement the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) (IR(ME)R) 2000 legislation. This legislation is intended to protect the patient from the hazards associated with ionising radiation.
This is a joint report published by the Society and College of Radiographers, the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine and The Royal College of Radiologists.
