Resources for trainees

Welcome to a dedicated section of the website for clinical oncology trainees managed by the Oncology Registrars' Forum (ORF).

The ORF's main purpose is to provide a route of communication, information and resources for all those undergoing specialty training in clinical oncology in the UK. The ORF consists of one trainee elected from every region in the UK plus a national representative of less than full-time trainees. Full details of the ORF membership and terms of reference can be found here. Trainees should feel free to contact their representative or the ORF Secretariat.  If either your representative or the Secretariat does not have the answer/guidance that you need they will put you in touch with someone who does.

ATOM 2017

The Annual Trainee Oncology Meeting (ATOM) was successfully held this year in Belfast. Aimed at all years of clinical oncology trainees, this highly educational program blended two main themes: i) rapidly changing areas of clinical practice and ii) examinations and career development. In the clinical practice series, world-class speakers covered the topics: multi-modality management of oligometastatic disease, pathology for the oncologist and advances in prostate cancer management. Examinations and career development sessions focused on FRCR examination preparation, preparing for consultancy, OOPE and research/clinical fellowships.
