Frequently Asked Questions

Event preference 

We will do our best to accommodate your first preference for the event date and time listed in the RSVP form. Due to numbers in attendance, we may not be able to meet all requests and confirmed ticket allocations are final. 

Can I request additional guest tickets? 

Only three guest tickets per New Fellow are available. It will not be possible to get extra tickets. We strongly advise that you do not make any arrangements (including travel) for any guests unless their ticket has been confirmed.

It will not be possible to get extra tickets for adults or children prior to or on the day of the event. We advise that no additional guests should arrive at the venue as they will not be permitted entrance.

Are children permitted to attend?

All children are welcome to attend. Children must be included in your guest ticket allocation and anyone under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times for the duration of the event. There are no creche facilities available but a family room will be available at the event for your use. 

What happens if I am unable to attend on the day?

If you have received a ticket and are unable to attend on the day, please email ceremony@rcr.ac.uk to inform the Admission Team as soon as you can. 

We wish to advise we will not be able to offer you an alternative date. There are no exceptions to this policy.  

What is the dress code for the event? 

The dress code is smart. 

Is there parking available? 

There is no parking available at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. 

Is there a cloakroom available at the venue? 

Yes, there is a cloakroom available at Kimpton Clocktower Hotel where you can leave your belongings for the duration of the event.

COVID-19

We encourage participants to take a lateral flow test within 24 hours of the ceremony, for the peace of mind of all in attendance.

Please be aware of those around you and be mindful that some attendees may be maintaining a degree of social distancing, especially in busier areas. Attendees are welcome to wear a mask if they prefer.

We will be holding the main event in the Ballroom which does not have natural light.
