Mammography Physics Training Meeting 2019

Monday 30 September 2019 to Wednesday 2 October 2019
Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Centenary Square, Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2EP

Organised by the National Breast Screening QA Coordinating Group for Physics

This 3 day meeting is designed for physicists and technologists providing specialised input into mammographic imaging. The physics and testing of tomosynthesis systems will be covered on the second day. Presentations will be delivered by medical physics staff with considerable experience in the physics of mammography.

Day 1 is designed for physicists, technologists and radiographers who have had no formal training in the Physics of Mammography. It will cover the theoretical background to digital mammography and also the QA measurements and techniques required for commissioning and routine testing.

Day 2 is designed to be a continuation of the basic training day. Later in the day it will include a session on tomosynthesis, details to follow.

Day 3 will be an update day on current issues in the Physics of Mammography.

Target audience
