Every day, our colleagues are making a difference by helping to improve imaging and cancer care for all. This starts by having the best talent, and that is only possible with a diversity of thinking, diversity of background and experience, and diversity of skills.
Diversity means better ideas, better solutions and more innovation. It’s why one of our key priorities is to ensure our workforce reflects the communities we serve.
We’re committed to creating an inclusive workforce and working environment for us all to enjoy – where everyone is able to bring their whole self to work to create change and reach new heights of creativity.
What we will continue to do:
We will monitor
We will continue to monitor the diversity of our applicants and workforce, throughout all stages of the employee lifecycle. This allows us to build a data picture and to understand the ways in which we can strive for continuous improvement in the EDI space and measure the impact our initiatives are having.
We will educate
We are committed to ensuring all staff attend training and are given a plethora of resources on a wide range of EDI topics, helping to educate and ensure there is an inclusive working environment for us all to enjoy.
We will guide
We give hiring managers guidance and resources throughout the recruitment and selection process to make them aware of, and challenge, any biases and unconscious biases that may be a barrier to selecting the best talent.
We will assess
We ensure our recruitment decisions are evidence-based, which is why all candidates are given competency-based questions and tasks relevant to the role they are interviewing for to assess their suitability. We are committed to making reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process for those who require them to make sure that it is fully inclusive.
We will listen
We gather feedback from all stages of the employee life cycle to understand how everyone experiences work. We use this data to analyse our processes and practice to ensure everyone can come to work and feel comfortable being themselves.
We will collaborate
We believe every employee’s voice matters, which is why we find out about our people’s thoughts through initial period conversations, performance and development reviews and regular employee engagement surveys. We also collaborate with our colleagues to continuously improve everything we do.
We’re committed to learning and improving, committed to building an understanding with all our staff and committed to making a difference by embracing equality, diversity and inclusion.
We know there’s always more learning we can do and ways we can seek to improve, which is why we’ll always challenge ourselves, and embrace challenge from staff, ensuring we’re open and honest and hold ourselves accountable. It’s important to recognise that we won’t always get it right, so while we can’t promise perfection, we can promise progress as we continue to learn and improve.
