Sir Howard Middlemiss Travelling Professorship

The Sir Howard Middlemiss Travelling Professorship was established in 1985 in memory of the former President of the College, with the intention to 'foster radiology and radiography in lower and middle income countries'. The award was a travelling professorship open to clinical radiologists who held a consultant post in the UK who were Fellows of the RCR, and to diagnostic radiographers working in the UK, who were registered with the HCPC and members of the Society and College of Radiographers. The purpose of the visit was to support radiological and radiographic education in lower and middle income countries.
