RCR position on coronavirus (COVID-19) and RCR events

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the RCR annual conference has been cancelled. If you registered for RCR2020, we will contact you to arrange a full refund. We will not be running any in-person events until 2021.

However, details of our ongoing clinical radiology and clinical oncology webinar series are available, and Fellows and members can also undertake CPD activities on our e-learning hub

We will be launching a new digital learning programme that will take place from 21 September until 9 October. The full programme and registration platform will be available in mid August.

In light of the developing situation and current predictions of impact, we have taken the decision to cancel all RCR conferences in April, May and June. We are contacting all delegates to give a full refund of the registration fee. Speakers will be reimbursed for any costs.

In response to the continuing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the RCR is committed to maintaining its services as effectively as possible whilst reducing the potential risk to the healthcare workforce and others. At this stage our programme of events, conferences, etc. is going ahead, but some activities have been cancelled or postponed and more changes are likely. We will review all events scheduled for the next few months as circumstances change and it is possible that some or all will have to be cancelled, subject to further advice from Public Health England (PHE). Delegates should consider this before committing to travel costs and review their travel insurance.

We are requesting that delegates and speakers do not book or attend an event or conference being organised by the RCR if they would be: arriving from; travelling through; or have visited in the 14 days before the event a COVID-19 specified country or area from the PHE list of affected countries, category 1 and 2

Delegates are asked to check the PHE list in the lead-up to travel. In the event of delegates needing to withdraw on the basis of this advice, or in the event of us cancelling events, the RCR will give a full refund of the registration fee but will not be liable for travel and/or accommodation costs. For delegates who choose to withdraw from events for other reasons our usual cancellation policy will apply.
