The RCR is a great place to work. At the forefront of the health agenda, our members diagnose and treat cancer, heart disease, stroke and more, whilst leading on innovations including AI, skills mix and community diagnostic hubs. As Covid recedes and the cancer backlog rises up the agenda, our members’ work and views have never been more important. The Communications Directorate is newly formed, and a recent restructure has created two new teams – External Affairs, and Marketing and Digital.
The Marketing Manager, reporting into a new Head of Marketing and Digital post, will lead the organisation’s brand strategy, building an RCR brand that is outward looking, innovative, authoritative and that inspires our members – existing and prospective. You’ll review our communication channels to ensure they are creating impact and engagement; you’ll support other teams to build brand engagement around our events, training courses, conferences and more; you’ll oversee our journals, newsletters and other publications to ensure they support our strategy and maximise engagement, and you’ll act as a brand champion across the organisation.
Working collaboratively across the directorate and more widely across the organisation, you will be a creative problem solver, data driven, and able to marry big picture thinking with critical attention to detail. The successful candidate will be a skilled manager of people, with excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, they will have experience in developing and delivering multi-channel marketing strategies and content, with significant impact on engagement and organisational success.
If this sounds like the opportunity for you then you can find out more about the Marketing Manager role, the RCR and how to apply by visiting the RCR website and reading the Marketing Manager candidate pack (PDF).
The closing date for applications is midnight on Sunday 11 July 2021. First stage interviews are due to take place on Wednesday 14 July, with final stage interviews scheduled for Monday 19 July or Thursday 22 July.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic the interviews for this role will be held remotely via video conference. As part of our emergency response to Covid-19 it is likely the successful candidate will work remotely for a period of time before we complete a phased return back to the office.
