Executive Director, Communications job vacancy

Location: Central London
Salary: circa £85,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contractual status: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver policy and communications goals for a significant medical organisation. It is a new role which brings together under one directorate the currently dispersed areas of research, policy, public affairs, communications, digital engagement and membership. We’re looking for someone who has significant experience leading teams in at least some of these areas. However, we’re also looking for someone who has the vision and drive to build a new directorate, and the ability and passion to deliver change.    

The Royal College of Radiologists is the medical college for the specialties of radiology and oncology. With over 11,000 doctors as Fellows and members, we are a strong voice for these areas of medicine and how they can improve patients’ lives. We have a new CEO, a strong medical leadership and have been growing in size and influence. It is an exciting time for the organisation and a great opportunity for someone to shape a new directorate and significantly increase our impact.
