The College has produced radiological referral guidelines for over 20 years. The current edition, the eight, was published in 2017 and is called iRefer. iRefer provides referring clinicians with evidence-based advice on the best imaging tests or investigations to request.
The College is working with a technology partner, MedCurrent, to implement delivery of iRefer through Clinical Decision Support software, so that referring clinicians can have access to iRefer as part of their normal workflow.
