Edinburgh University Radiology Society (EURS) is a student-lead society which aims to introduce and promote the field of radiology to undergraduate medical students. The growth of medical imaging technology in recent times has led to modern healthcare increasingly relying on radiology department services to diagnose, follow-up and treat patients.
Medical students and junior doctors are facing growing demands to understand and interpret radiological examinations and our society will equip students with the basics to bring forward to their future careers. Therefore, our society is open to all medical students in The University of Edinburgh and not necessarily only those considering a future career in radiology. We aim to provide tutorials, talks and workshops are of relevance and interest to students at all stages of their medical studies.
Despite being a newly-founded society we have strong aspirations to see EURS continue to grow in the coming years. We hope to form links with radiology departments and societies in the Edinburgh region and beyond and to provide learning, teaching and research opportunities to current and past society members as well as practicing radiology staff members.
