RCR CPD Scheme

Continuing professional development (CPD) is a continuing process, outside formal undergraduate and postgraduate training, that enables individual doctors to maintain and improve standards of medical practice through the development of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviour.

RCR CPD Scheme

The RCR CPD Scheme is open to all clinical oncologists and clinical radiologists, other than those in training posts, who are practising in the UK.

All doctors who have a licence to practise and wish to remain on the GMC register are required to provide documentation that they are participating in CPD in order to keep up to date for revalidation. The RCR CPD scheme has been developed to help members and Fellows show that they are achieving the required level of CPD activity.

The RCR has developed a Short Guide to the CPD Scheme. The guide highlights the six key features of the scheme and answers a couple of frequently asked questions.

If you have any queries regarding the Scheme please email cpd@rcr.ac.uk or phone 020 7405 1282, option 5.

How we can support your CPD

The RCR provides a CPD record for members and Fellows to keep a log of their CPD activities and reflective templates to help doctors to document their reflections.

The RCR provides learning and development including activities and online learning.
