The oral examination lasts for 44 minutes in total, during which time the candidate spends 22 minutes with each of two pairs of examiners, allowing for four independent assessments overall. One examiner leads the questioning for about eleven minutes, with the other examiner making notes, and then the examiners change roles for the remaining half of the time in the cubicle. There may be an observing examiner sitting at the back of the cubicle who is not part of the assessment process. Sample questions for the oral component of the Final FRCR Part B examination are provided.
