Stereotactic radiotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma is a flexible, effective, and safe loco-regional therapy and is fully commissioned for use in the English NHS. Over the last four years, leading HCC centres have set up SABR services and successfully integrated it into their treatment pathways. Liver SABR can be complex – case selection and careful radiation delivery are paramount – so join us in this multi-disciplinary workshop to discover how to implement SABR in your centre. Treatment of liver metastases will also be included in the contouring session.

The morning session, led by the RCR and endorsed by HCC-UK, is suitable for all members of the liver MDT and will cover:

  • Overview of the evidence base
  • Hepatology, medical oncology, and radiology perspectives
  • Integration with other loco-regional therapies such as RFA, TACE and SIRT

The afternoon session, led by the UK SABR Consortium, will be of most interest to radiotherapy professionals and will focus on practical implementation:

  • Radiographer and dosimetry perspectives
  • The emerging role of MR guidance
  • A hands-on contouring session, with access to EduCase in advance for preparation of test cases and online review by experienced liver SABR clinicians

The afternoon session will be run by Profile Productions on behalf of the SABR Consortium UK. We will be sharing your name and email address with Profile Productions, to allow them to set you up on their website to access the session, and contact you with the course homework.

We hope you will be able to join us for the workshop.
