Background:
The Royal College of Radiologists and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) have, for a number of years, operated an exchange programme for Travelling Professors. The Rohan Williams Travelling Professorship was established in 1975 and commemorates the strong links that Dr Rohan Williams (President of the Faculty of Radiologists: 1961-1963) fostered with the RANZCR.
Nature:
The Professor is biennial and alternates between the specialties of clinical oncology and clinical radiology within a four-year cycle. Travelling Professors visiting Australasia are appointed by the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists on the basis of nominations put forward by the Specialty Training Board of the appropriate Faculty of The Royal College of Radiologists. Travelling Professors visiting the UK are appointed by the Specialty Training Board of the appropriate Faculty of The Royal College of Radiologists on the basis of nominations put forward by the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
The Professorship is next available for a UK clinical oncologist in 2021.
Funding:
Reasonable travel and living expenses only.
Eligibility:
Members and Fellows of the Faculty of Clinical Oncology who hold an NHS consultant post. Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of teaching junior clinical oncologists.

Candidates will need to submit their CV, along with a description of the applicant's teaching record, a description of why the applicant would be suitable for appointment and a list of lecture titles suitable for presentation (a) to training schemes and (b) to the RANZCR Annual Meeting. All applications will be considered by an assessment panel nominated by The Royal College of Radiologists. Shortlisted applicants will be endorsed by the Specialty Training Board before being sent to the RANZCR for consideration and final appointment.
