Leadership: Leading quality improvement, a practical approach

Monday 4 February 2019
Venue address:
The Royal College of Radiologists, 63 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, WC2A 3JW
CPD credits:

Leadership and Quality Improvement Programme for senior trainees and consultants in Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology 2019

This set of events is designed to give Fellows of the College insights, understanding and ideas to take into their workplace and enable them to lead change and improvement to both patient care and the experience of staff.

All our departments are manging rising workloads often with the same numbers of staff and increasingly with vacancies in key roles. We have therefore designed five events in 2019 to share current ideas on how to address these challenges. This will be a combination of one day events at the College and a second one day meeting in the Autumn. Three of the events will be one-hour webinars that you can dial into or see as a recording. This will enable participants to join from their place of work and submit questions or seek advice during and after the webinar.

The framework we have used to guide our content is the NHS Improvement framework Continuous Improvement in Care for people, population health and value for money.

The background report is available at https://improvement.nhs.uk/documents/547/10591-NHS_-Improving_Care-Summary.pdf

This link provides further background from leaders in Improvement such as Professor Don Berwick https://improvement.nhs.uk/resources/developing-people-improving-care/
