| Audit of Same Day Correlation of Bone Scans with Plain Radiography | |

| Bone scans often require additional radiographs for their correct interpretation. We feel that all necessary examinations should be performed on the same visit and in our institution there is a protocol for nuclear medicine technicians to instigate such requests. We were aware of a significant number of scans in patients with malignant disease, in which the report suggested recall at a later date for such correlative x-rays. |
